UPON THIS ROCK

In a world that feels increasingly shaky and unstable, we’re surrounded by convenience, information, and connection at our fingertips—yet nothing is guaranteed. The things of this world are fleeting. They shift. They fade. They crumble. But there is one foundation that never changes—Jesus Christ.  This year, our conference theme "Upon This Rock" is a call back to the only foundation that stands firm when everything else falls apart. When we build our lives on Christ—the Rock—we can endure every storm, every season, every hardship, and every transition with unshakable faith.

“He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken.” —

Psalm 62:6 (NLT)

Scripture reminds us again and again that Jesus is our Rock—our refuge, our strength, and the cornerstone upon which we are to build our lives. In Matthew 7, Jesus compares two builders: one who builds his house on the rock and another on the sand. The storm comes to both, but only one house stands.

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” — Matthew 7:24 (NIV)

When our lives are founded on the solid truth of who Christ is, we become unshakable women.

Circumstances may shift. Seasons may change. But the one who builds her life on Jesus will not fall—because her foundation is sure.

“And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of

Hades will not overcome it.” — Matthew 16:18 (NIV)

When we place our hope, identity, and security in the things of this world—whether relationships, careers, status, or comfort—we may appear stable for a while. But over time, these fragile foundations give way under pressure. The winds blow. The waves crash. And what’s not built on the Rock will not last.

But we are not women of fear. We are women of faith.

We are choosing to build our lives upon the Rock.

We are trusting in the One who is unmovable, unchanging, and eternal.

Let this be the year we return to the foundation that never fails.

Let this be the year we stand firm.

Let this be the year we rise—Upon This Rock.
